1 lb. Ground Beef

1 med OnionSliced

1 1⁄2 c. Water

2 t. Salt

1 1⁄2 c. RiceUncooked, instant

2 t. Corn Starch

1/3 c. (packed) Brown Sugar

1⁄4 c. Cider Vinegar

3 T. Soy Sauce

13 1⁄2 oz. PineappleTidbits (drained, reserve syrup)

16 oz. can Chow Mein Vegetables
Directions
Cook beef and onion, then drain. Heat water, butter, and salt to boiling in sauce pan. Stir in
rice, remove and let set 5 minutes. Mix brown sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, and soy sauce. Add
enough water to pineapple syrup to make 1 cup. Stir both mixtures into beef and onion mixture.
Heat to boil, reduce heat. Stir cornstarch until thick. Stir in pineapple and vegetables until hot.
Fluff rice and serve with beef.
