Ingredients

2 c. MilkScalded

6 T. Sugar

2 t. Salt

6 c. Flour

1 c. Crisco Shortening

2 Eggsbeaten with a fork

2 T. Active Dry Yeastor 2 yeast cakes
Directions
Add two teaspoons of the sugar to 2/3 c. warm water and dissolve yeast in it. Mix sugar, salt, milk, shortening, and beaten eggs. Add yeast. Stir. Blend 3 cups flour and beat well. Add remaining flour. Add more if necessary but keep dough soft. Let stand in covered bowl for 30 minutes. Knead and roll out ½ inch think. Cut in desired shape for rolls. Let rise for about 1 hour on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Brush melted butter on tops after taking out of the oven.
