Score the ham: Use a small sharp knife to diagonally cut ¼ inch deep parallel lines in the top of the ham about 1 inch apart. Make another series of cuts at right angles to form diamonds.

Insert a whole clove in the middle of each of the diamonds. You may find it easier to pierce
the meat first with the point of a skewer an them insert the clove.

Place the ham in a deep dish and preheat oven to 325°. Cook ham 18 minutes per lb.

With 45 minutes left to cook the ham, start the glaze. In saucepan, combine brown sugar,
corn starch, ginger, and salt. Add apricot juice and lemon juice. Stir all together and cook over
medium heat until it comes to a boil. Stir and cook for 1 minutes longer, then our over ham.
Cook for at least 3 minutes. Remove the cloves.
