This works great in a crock pot, too. I use country beef ribs and they get really tender this way. If you do this, the sauce is going to be runnier, so I’d leave out the water. When it’s done cooking, I also pour all the sauce from the crockpot into a pot and reduce it on the stove to thicken the sauce even further.
