1⁄2 c. Shortening

1 1⁄2 c. Sugar

2 Eggs

2 T. CocoaLight

2 oz. Red Food Coloring

1⁄4 t. Salt

2 1⁄4 c. Sifted FlourSifted cake flour

1 T. Vinegar

1 c. Buttermilk

1 1⁄2 t. Baking Soda

1 t. Vanilla
Directions
Cream shortening, sugar, and eggs. Combine cocoa and food coloring and add to creamed mixture. Add salt, vanilla and buttermilk alternately with flour. Mix vinegar and soda and fold gently into batter. DO NOT BEAT. Bake at 350° in three 9″ round pans or in two 10-inch square pans for 25-30 minutes. Frost with Butter Rich Frosting.
